A four hole transom plate for Sportsman boats. It provides a finished mounting and reinforcement point on the transom for fittings or through-hull penetrations.
The transom takes direct spray and runoff, so the plate needs to hold up without bleeding rust onto gelcoat. 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, which gives it better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion from salt spray than 304 stainless. A polished surface sheds salt and grime and is easier to keep clean on the line and in service.
