This is a polished 316 stainless steel sport steering wheel, 15.5 inches in diameter with a 25 degree dish. It includes a finger grip rim and a control knob for one hand steering at the helm.
Sport wheels are fitted to center console, bay and runabout helms where the wheel is in constant sun and spray. 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, which gives it better resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion than 304 grades in saltwater. A polished surface is smoother and sheds salt and moisture more readily, which helps limit tea staining.
